The RAPID Inflatable Shelter

LANCO's RAPID Inflatable Shelter is a pressurized inflatable tent designed for emergency and expeditionary use. It is built around air-inflated structural beams rather than traditional pole or rigid frame systems, which allows it to be set up quickly by a minimal crew. The shelter's strength-to-weight ratio, weather resistance (including wind speeds up to 56 mph with gusts to 65 mph) and compact pack size make it well suited for rapid-response operations where setup time, portability, and structural reliability all matter.

The Role of the Nardi Extreme 3T

To demonstrate the RAPID's setup and dismantling procedures, LANCO selected the Nardi Extreme 3T oil-free compressor as their air source. This is the right tool for the job for straightforward reasons: the Extreme 3T delivers consistent, oil-free compressed air at pressures up to 30 bar (435 psi), which is sufficient to fully inflate the RAPID's structural air beams. Because the compressor is oil-free, there is no risk of oil contamination entering the shelter's inflation system, which is an important consideration in any application where air quality and equipment integrity matter.

The Extreme series is built for professional use in workshop, mobile, and field environments. It is available with tank options that help sustain inflation pressure during operation. The "3T" designation refers to a tank-equipped model, providing the compressed air reserve needed for many applications.
